Overview

Defines the verifier grading methodology for 1D linear barcodes: how a barcode verifier measures contrast, edge determination, modulation, defects, decodability, and quiet-zone compliance, then combines those into an A-F overall grade. Used by every commercial barcode verifier from Axicon, RJS, REA, and others.

Why it matters for RFID

Tells you whether a printed barcode will actually scan. Verifier reports against this standard are the industry currency for "this barcode meets/fails GS1 print quality requirements" claims.
