Overview

Defines the Aztec Code: a 2D matrix symbology with a central bullseye finder and concentric layers of data spiralling outward. Sizes range from compact 15×15 (rune format) to 151×151. Reed-Solomon error correction over GF(16) for compact, GF(256) for full-range.

Why it matters for RFID

Aztec is used worldwide for transport ticketing (Deutsche Bahn, Eurostar, mobile boarding passes) because it scans without a quiet zone - useful when ticket layouts are tight.
